Bass River Fe-Co breccia
The Bass River magnetite breccia is a variant Co-bearing IOCG deposit depleted in Cu and Au. Biotite and magnetite are the primary iron oxides. Paragenesis indicates early Na-facies (albite), K-Fe facies (magnetite, biotite). Then another cycle of Na facies (scapolite), K-Fe facies (magnetite, biotite), and late Ca-Mg facies (calcite, chlorite).

Feeling Salty? MIAC systems & evaporites
Across the Cobequid-Chedabucto Fault Zone (CCFZ), there is evidence of hypersaline solutions creating Metasomatic Iron Alkali Calcic (MIAC) systems. These hypersaline solutions are likely derived from the dissolution or anatexis of the lower Windsor Group evaporite sequences nearby.
